The Child - Key Role
Police Inspector
Tea shop owner - The primary witness
The story begins when a small child living in Humspur on the banks of the river Praanavahini, played with a toy car in the ruins of an old building and the vehicle fell into a tunnel. The child followed the vehicle and fell into an abandoned underground chamber and goes unconscious.
Three people drinking tea were shot, and their bodies were taken away in a dark blue van. The tea shopkeeper has gone panic and ran to the side by police station. This police station belongs to CI Rakshit Kumar, he reported to the Inspector about the incident and the Inspector strated with his team, came to the scene, tried to trace the killers but remained clueless due to the junction in the path a bit distant from the shop.
They tried to search the footage of CCTV at the tea shop, but it was found destroyed. They sent the blood samples found there for the DNA test and followed back to the junction. Hopefully, they realized that a CCTV was installed at the junction and searched for a dark blue van that had crossed the junction. They were astonished to see three dark blue vans crossing the junction in three directions at that time, containing the same registration number as a vintage ambassador that had sat idle in a ruined building. The team found it quite challenging and informed all police stations to locate any van with that registration number.
Meanwhile, there was a dead body discovered so badly that its face was unrecognizable on the banks of the Praanavahini river. DNA samples from that dead body matched the DNA of one of them who had been shot on before day. The fingerprints of the deceased individual revealed that he was a government employee named Ravindran working in the Revenue department. In addition, he was a member of a team of three officers who were sent to inspect the old Hongirana Palace belonging to the Hamsatatva dynasty. The Police team went to the Revenue office to collect the complete details of the team who were appointed to inspect the Hongirana Palace.
The child who fell into the underground chamber recovered to conscious and tried to climb up but discovered that the wooden steps leading to the entrance of the tunnel were destroyed. He screamed for help, came to feel annoyed and wandered around, finally found a door with a closed knob. Upon opening the door of the chamber he discovered a scary path inside, but he decided to pass through that way to get rid of that chamber. Despite finding two human skeletons on his way he ended up in a semi-underground unused old library.
